Caring for your locs doesn’t have to be complicated. A few simple habits keep your hair and scalp clean, moisturised and thriving.

Moisture
2–3× a week
Use a good moisturising hair spray to keep your locs hydrated and prevent excessive dryness.
Oil
2–3× a week
Use a lightweight, hair- and scalp-friendly oil or oil blend. The brand matters less than choosing a good-quality oil with nourishing ingredients.
Scalp massage
Gently massage your scalp when oiling or washing. It stimulates the scalp, distributes products and feels relaxing.
Wash regularly
Use a gentle shampoo to keep your scalp and locs clean. After washing, apply your oil and moisturising spray, then massage your scalp.
